Second Stage Day 7: JAMAICA - ARGENTINA 81-75

Jamaica came up with a loud bang at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship. They knocked down Argentina at the second stage of the tournament in Caracas today. Oritseweyinmi Efejuku nailed 24 points to pace the Caribbean side. Jamaica eked out a 17:16 lead after the opening quarter. Argentina stiffened defensively and took over in the second period. They held Jamaica to 11 points to gain a 31:28 halftime lead. The Latin American powerhouse stretched their lead in the third term. Argentina opened a 5-point advantage before the final term 55:50. Jamaica however turned things around in the fourth period. They erupted for 31 points and left Argentina behind. Akeem Scott finished with 12 points, while Jerome Jordan provided 11 points for the winners. Luis Scola answered with 22 points for Argentina. Facundo Campazzo had 14 points in the loss.
