Canada fell at 3-3 record after the loss. Canada erupted for 28 points in the opening frame to gain a 10-point lead. Dominican Republic stopped the rot in the second stanza. The Caribbean team fired 27 points and surged ahead for a 45:44 halftime lead. The tempo decreased in the third term. Dominican Republic stressed their defence and held the North Americas side to just 13 points in the period. Dominican Republic entered the fourth quarter up by two points. They knocked down 22 points in the final period and escaped with a tough win at the end. Francisco Garcia delivered 17 points, while Eloy Camacho and Eulis Baez had 11 points each in the victory. Andrew Nicholson responded with 29 points for Canada. Tristan Thompson chipped in 14 points in the loss.
