Nantes (#15) forced the game against Fos Ouest (#5) into an overtime, but lost by eleven points 73-84. The game took place in Nantes. But the guests from Fos-sur-Mer were better at the end. Nantes was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 23-20 charge of Fos Ouest, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-3. Fos Ouest forced 20 Nantes turnovers. Strangely Nantes outrebounded Fos Ouest 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Point guard Edouard Choquet (188-88) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Fos Ouest players scored in double figures. Fos Ouest's coach Remi Giutta allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds by American Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) did not help to save the game for Nantes. Swingman Nicolas Gayon (190-82) added 9 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts.
