Palma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 28 Askatuak turnovers. Strangely Askatuak outrebounded Palma 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Palma made 7 blocks. American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) fired 23 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Forward Ivan Matemalas (194-80) chipped in 19 points. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Palma's coach Matias Cerda felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Xabier Perez (198-91) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Pope Urtasun (187-80) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
