Regular Season Round 3: Silute - Zanavykas 76-74

A very interesting game took place in Silute. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Zanavykas (0-3) to Silute (2-1) 76-74 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Zanavykas was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Zanavykas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Tomas Lekunas (200-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Eivydas Molosciakas (185-93) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Power forward Paulius Abramavicius (204-86) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) added 20 points and 4 steals respectively for Zanavykas in the defeat. Zanavykas' coach Giedrius Zibenas let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Silute's next round opponent will be Olimpas (#13) in Plunge and are hoping to win another game. Zanavykas will play at home against TiuMenas-Ezer. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
