Regular Season Round 1: ABA Strumica - Kumanovo 75-76

Quite upsetting was ABA Strumica's home defeat in a game versus Kumanovo 2009 who edged hosts 76-75. ABA Strumica was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-75. Strangely ABA Strumica outrebounded Kumanovo 2009 37-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Serbian swingman Vukasin Mandic (200-82) fired 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin guard Nemanja Vranjes (188-88) chipped in 23 points. American forward Jason Jackson (203-88, college: Hawaii-Pacific) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian center Nemanja Arsic (214-85) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Kumanovo 2009 will meet at home Vardar Apave in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ABA Strumica will play against Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
