Regular Season Round 8: Soles - Lechugueros 88-80

Very expected game in Mexicali where 9th ranked Lechugueros (2-5) were defeated by fifth ranked Soles (4-1) 88-80. The hosts were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 23 after three quarters before a 31-16 last quarter charge of Lechugueros cut the lead to 88-80 at the end of the game. Soles players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Soles have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 4-1 record. Lechugueros lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. Soles' next round opponent will be Fuerza Regia (#6) in Monterrey. Lechugueros will play at home against Correcaminos (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
