Japan needs overtime win over South Korea to take the throne with a 3-0 record. Japan grabbed a 78:71 win and remained undefeated. South Korea meanwhile suffered their first loss and dropped at 2-1 record. The game was the top one at the end of Day 3. South Korea won the opening tip, but then Japan grabbed a 24-20 lead at the end of the first period. The board showed later 34:34 at the halftime and the teams continued their perfect performance until the rest of the game. They were tied at 69:69 going to overtime and only there japan pushed the tempo for good and sealed a 78:71 win. Tokashiki Ramu top-scored for the winners with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Miyamoto Michiko and Yoshida Asami netted 15 each. Mamiya Yuka followed them with 10 points in a win. Beon Yeonha ended up with 17 points in a loss, whilst Sin Jung Ja and Lim Yung Hui brought 14 points each. Kim Jung Eun scored 11, whilst Yang Ji Hee nailed 10.
