Regular Season Day 5: SOUTH KOREA - TAIWAN 58-63

Taiwan spoiled the final day of the preliminary round of South Korea. The Taiwanese team overcame their opponents but five points to catch up with them at 3-2 record in the ladder. Taiwan will face Japan, while South Korea will take on China in the semifinal round of the tournament. Taiwan gained a 19:14 lead after the opening quarter. South Korea narrowed the distance in the second frame. They got within 3 points at the interval 33:36. The Korean team got even closer in the third term. They held Taiwan to just 7 points in the period and entered the final frame trailing by just one point 42:43. But Taiwan improved offensively in the fourth quarter. They dropped 20 points in the final stanza and sealed the victory. Chen Yu-Chun finished with 13 points for Taiwan. Chun-Yi Liu, Tsai Pei-Chen, Huang Ping-Chen and Wu Yi-Ting had 9 points each in the victory. Beon Yeonha responded with 23 points for South Korea Lee Mi Sun chipped in 10 points in the defeat.
