Regular Season Round 5: Ankara DSI Era - Pamukkale 79-66

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Ankara DSI Era (3-2) defeated at home higher ranked Pamukkale (3-2) 79-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Ankara DSI Era. Pamukkale was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pamukkale was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ankara DSI Era players scored in double figures. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) produced 17 points and 5 assists and the former international swingman Ulug Kacaniku (202-85) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Pamukkale's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ankara DSI Era moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Pamukkale. Ankara DSI Era will face Final Genclik (#15) in Bursa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pamukkale will play at home against Maliye Milli (#17) and hope to win that game.
