Regular Season Round 9: JAZZ-KTU - Radviliskis 72-66

Very predictable result in Kaunas where third ranked JAZZ-KTU (7-2) defeated 12th ranked Radviliskis (2-6) 72-66 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Radviliskis was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of JAZZ-KTU, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Guard Arturas Lencevicius (186-87) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Paulius Petrilevicius (201-91) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. JAZZ-KTU's coach Rolandas Urkis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Vitalis Pancerevas (183-87, college: Weatherford JC) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Rytis Grigaitis (200-84) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Radviliskis players scored in double figures. JAZZ-KTU maintains third place with 7-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Trakai. Radviliskis lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. JAZZ-KTU will have a break next round. Radviliskis will play at home against Delikatesas (#7) and hope to win that game.
