Regular Season Round 10: Trakai - Silute 73-83

Top ranked Trakai (7-2) recorded its second loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Silute (7-3) 83-73. The game was mostly controlled by Silute. Trakai was better in fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Trakai 40-29 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Silute shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Trakai was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Eivydas Molosciakas (185-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Evaldas Saulys (196-93) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Rytis Juknevicius (187-93) added 21 points in the effort for Trakai. Trakai's coach Dainius Miliunas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Silute have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 7-3 record. Newly promoted Trakai dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with JAZZ-KTU and TiuMenas-Ezer.. Silute will play against Radviliskis (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trakai will play against Zanavykas (#8) in Sakiai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
