Regular Season Round 15: Dallas M. - Washington W. 105-95
Date: November 12, 2013
With another round of balanced scoring, the Dallas Mavericks moved their home record to a perfect 4-0 after they defeated the Washington Wizards, 105-95, Tuesday night at American Airlines Center. Meanwhile, the Wizards left town nursing a 2-5 record. The night turned into a special one for the Mavs, since Dirk Nowitzki passed Jerry West to become the No. 16 all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Monta Ellis and Nowitzki paced the Mavs with 19 points apiece, Vince Carter scored 16, Samuel Dalembert had 15 points and five rebounds, Jose Calderon tossed in 11 points, Shawn Marion contributed eight points and nine rebounds, and DeJuan Blair added nine points and 11 caroms. Nowitzki, who also had eight rebounds and two steals, has 25,197 points to 25,192 for West. Trevor Ariza led the Wizards with 27 points, John Wall and Nene each popped in 12 points, Marcin Gortat collected 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Bradley Beal was held to nine points.
