Regular Season Round 15: Golden St.W. - Detroit P. 113-95
Date: November 12, 2013
After a 2-2 road trip, the Warriors (5-3) got back to winning on Tuesday night at Oracle Arena with a 113-95 victory over the Pistons. Detroit never led and Golden State shot 60 percent including 50 percent from beyond the arc. "We did an outstanding job at sharing the basketball," said head coach Mark Jackson as his starters combined for 25 of the teams 28 assists. The Warriors were up 62-41 at halftime and led by as many as 32 in the second half spurned by Stephen Curry who scored 12 of his points in the third quarter. Curry finished with 25 points and eight assists while Klay Thompson added 14 points. Meanwhile big guard Andre Iguodala chipped in 11 assists, eight points, three rebounds and two steals and David Lee totaled 17 points and nine rebounds. Andrew Bogut had eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes while Jermaine O'Neal was key off the bench contributing 17 points and five rebounds. Yet Jackson wasn't pleased with his bench. "Our starters set the tone," he said. "I'm disappointing in the bench overall." They were responsible for 13 turnovers and aside from O'Neal no one reached double digit points. Regarding Kent Bazemore who scored three points and made three turnovers with no assists in nine minutes as a backup facilitator, Jackson said "I've seen him play better." The bench beyond O'Neal will need to step up as the Warriors face Oklahoma City next. Courtesy of: examiner.com
