MBK Ruzomberok accounted for the opening win in EuroCup Group G. They held off visiting Tarbes to improve at 1-1 record in the ladder. Stefanie Murphy provided 15 points to lead the winners. MBK Ruzomberok held their opponents to just 7 points in the first term and opened an 8-point lead. The Slovakian team boosted the gap in the second quarter. MBK Ruzomberok established a 39:18 halftime lead. Tarbes slowed the hosts down in the third term. The French team cut the distance at 19-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But it was too little to threaten the hosts. MBK Ruzomberok dropped 19 points in the final stanza and sealed the victory. Katarina Ristic and Eva Kmetova delivered 13 points each for the winners. Alex Montgomery responded with 17 points for Tarbes. Sabrina Reghaissia had 11 points in the loss.
