Regular Season Round 4: Mississauga P. - Brampton A's 92-98

Date: November 15, 2013
The Peel rivalry continued tonight as the Mississauga Power travelled across the city to face the Brampton A's in their home opener. The Power got off to a fast start leading 27-18 after the first quarter but the A's came back on a 9-3 run in the second quarter. The Power took a 48-42 lead at the half with Dwight McCombs contributing 9 points and 9 rebounds. The Power brought high energy hoops in the third quarter, sprinting to a quick 60-50 lead but Brampton stormed back quickly to take a 69-65 lead heading into the final quarter. The Power fell 98-92. McCombs explains, "We started off great, had a good first quarter. The third quarter is what really killed us. We'll take this one game at a time, it's a long weekend as we're off to play Ottawa tomorrow. I'll always be there to provide rebounds, defense and blocks when needed." McCombs finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Power while William "Bo" Harris chipped in with 13 points and 8 rebounds. The A's were led by Evaldas Zabas who tallied 23 points and 5 rebounds. The Power have two games remaining on a 3 game road trip. The team plays in Ottawa tomorrow before heading to London on November 17th. The Power return home to the Hershey Centre on November 21st to take on the London Lightning.
