Regular Season Round 19: Orlando M. - Dallas M. 100-108

Date: November 16, 2013
The Dallas Mavericks were able to get their Florida split Saturday as they held on to defeat the Orlando Magic, 108-100, as the Amway Center. One night after losing in Miami, the Mavs got 19 points from Monta Ellis, 18 from Dirk Nowitzki, 18 from DeJuan Blair, 12 from Vince Carter and 11 each from Jose Calderon and Shawn Marion in beating Florida's other NBA franchise. Arron Afflalo led Orlando (4-6) with 25 points and Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and eight boards. The Mavs (6-4) now start a three-game home stand Monday against Philadelphia. It also includes games Wednesday against Houston and Friday against Utah. Nowitzki nailed a three-point with 3:11 to go to push the Mavs ahead 100-91. It was a crucial basket at the time, particularly since the Magic had fought back from a 15-point deficit to get as close as 91-87. Ellis scored 10 points in the first half, which ended with the Mavs ahead, 59-46. Dallas led by as much as 15 points in the first half as Carter and Calderon chipped in with nine points apiece. The Mavs shot 51.2 percent from the field and turned the ball over just 10 times. Courtesy of: star-telegram.com
