Regular Season Round 5: London L. - Brampton A's 107-93

Date: November 16, 2013
All good things must come to an end— and that included the Brampton A’s four game win streak to open their inaugural season in the National Basketball League of Canada. The A’s could not match the two-time defending champion London Lightning at the Powerade Centre on Saturday night as the visitors claimed a 107-93. That came on the heels of a 98-92 win over the Peel rival Mississauga Power one night earlier in their home opener. Brampton could not get on track against the defending champion Lightning, shooting 37 per cent while the Lightning hit on 44 per cent of their shots. The A’s were led by Cavell Johnson and Jordan Hamilton with 18 points apiece. Hamilton also collected eight rebounds in the losing effort. Cedric Moodie chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds while Steven Idlet hit double-digits with 11 points. Kevin Francis chipped in nine while Flenard Whitfield added eight. Scottie Haralson and Cedric Council contributed six points each while Jesse Tipping added three and Evaldas Zabas a single. The A’s don’t get any time to lick their wounds as they are back on the court this afternoon in Windsor against the Express. They complete a series of four games in four days when they return to the Powerade Centre on Monday for a rematch with the Windsor Express. Game time is 7 p.m. Courtesy of: bramptonguardian.com
