Regular Season Round 6: Energa Czarni - Asseco 77-62

TBL top team - Energa Czarni (5-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Asseco (2-4) in Slupsk 77-62. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Energa Czarni's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-8 extending their advantage to 15 points. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American guard Roderick Trice (190-84, college: S.Carolina) notched 13 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Garrett Stutz (212-90, college: Wichita St.) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Even 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals by American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Asseco. The former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Energa Czarni maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Stelmet ZG. Asseco lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Kotwica. Energa Czarni will play against PGE Turow (#3) in Zgorzelec in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Asseco will play at home against Rosa Radom (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
