Regular Season Round 7: Alba Chorzow - Cieszyn 101-79

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Alba Chorzow (5-2) outleveled at home 10th ranked Cieszyn (1-6) 101-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Alba Chorzow. Cieszyn was better in third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alba Chorzow looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Swingman Damian Tokarski (193-88) fired 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Tomasz Gembus (197-87) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds and forward Leszek Siwy (196-83) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Alba Chorzow. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Sudety. Cieszyn lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Alba Chorzow will face AZS Pol.Cz-wa (#10) in Czestochowa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cieszyn will play at home against Nysa Klodzko and hope to win that game.
