Regular Season Round 12: LF Basket - Norrkoping 83-81

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Basketligan took place in Lulea. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (8-3) to seventh ranked LF Basket (5-6) 83-81 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Norrkoping Dolphins won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Basket made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) replied with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Pierre Hampton (201-91, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Norrkoping Dolphins. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. LF Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side keep the third position with three games lost. LF Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Nassjo (#10) on the road in the next round. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against the league's leader Boras Basket (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
