The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Elitzur Ramla as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Elitzur Ramla smashed 5th ranked Maccabi Ashdod at home 78-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. The game without a history. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tiffany Jackson (191-85, college: Texas) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Ashdod. Elitzur Ramla have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Elitzur Netanya. Maccabi Ashdod will play next round against strong Ramat Hasharon trying to get back on the winning streak. Elitzur Ramla will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen on the road.
