Regular Season Round 10: Bayreuth - ALBA 59-81

Date: November 23, 2013
There was no surprise when 12th ranked BBC Bayreuth (3-7) was outplayed at home by sixth ranked ALBA Berlin (6-2) 81-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. ALBA Berlin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American-Polish point guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann (208-90, agency: Court Side) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian-Montenegrin swingman Sead Sehovic (196-89) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 6-2 record. Loser BBC Bayreuth keeps the twelfth place with seven games lost. ALBA Berlin will face Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BBC Bayreuth will play against SC Rasta Vechta (#15) and hope to win that game.
