Regular Season Round 14: Trakai - Suduva-Mantinga 78-74

NKL top team - Trakai (10-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Suduva-Mantinga (5-9) 78-74. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Julius Kazakauskas (197-90) supported him with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Trakai's coach Dainius Miliunas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) did not help to save the game for Suduva-Mantinga. Forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Trakai maintains first position with 10-3 record, which they share with Mazeikiai and TiuMenas-Ezer. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost. Trakai will play against Zalgiris II (#8) in Kaunas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suduva-Mantinga will have a break next round.
