Regular Season Round 6: Liaoning H. - Jilin NE T. 114-85

Date: November 24, 2013
Very predictable result when seventh ranked Liaoning Hunters (4-2) rolled over 15th ranked Jilin Tigers (1-5) in Yingkou 114-85 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Liaoning Hunters. Jilin Tigers was better in third quarter 31-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Liaoning Hunters looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American center Chris Daniels (212-84, college: Limoges) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). International guard Ming Yang (193-85) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. American forward Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama) replied with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) added 18 points in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning Hunters moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Liaoning Hunters will face Shandong Bulls (#6) in Jinan in the next round. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Sichuan BW (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
