Regular Season Round 6: Dinamo Tbilisi - MIA Academy 85-49

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#3) and MIA (#5). Dinamo Tbilisi (5-0) smashed visiting MIA (2-3) by 36 points 85-49. The game without a history. Dinamo Tbilisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MIA to just 4 points in third quarter. Dinamo Tbilisi shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while MIA only scored four points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by MIA's players. It was a good game for Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Serbian forward Milos Pesic (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and international guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) added 9 points in the effort for MIA. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dinamo Tbilisi have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Armia. Defending champion MIA keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Sokhumi. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Armia.
