Regular Season Round 8: Moncton M. - Mississauga P. 113-126

Okay, so maybe the fans were caught up in the moment. But it felt as thought they had witnessed a minor miracle. Fans in the stands at the Hershey Centre were chanting "M-V-P!" as Morgan Lewis score his 26th point of the night from the free throw line as the Mississauga Power defeated the Moncton Miracles 126-113 last night. Dwight McCombs contributed 21 points to the winning cause. Johnny Mayhane led the Miracles with 27 points. The win snapped off a five-game National Basketball League of Canada losing steak for the home side. It was the third win of the season for Mississauga against six losses. Moncton dropped to 2-9 with the loss. "It's just our preparation. We've been paying attention to details on both ends of the floor and it really showed tonight," Lewis said after the much-needed Power win. "We're on the right track now and we'll be looking to get two more (wins) this weekend." The Power will ravel east to face the Island Storm in Charlottetown, PEI and the Saint John Mill Rats in Ne Brunswick before returning home on Wednesday to host against the Windsor Express.
