Regular Season Round 15: Nafta Univers. - Triobet 79-81

Important game to mention about took place in Klaipeda. Seventh ranked Triobet (8-6) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Nafta Univers. (4-10) 81-79 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It looked good early as Nafta Univers. took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Triobet had a 17-12 second period charge getting the lead and Nafta Univers. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-81. Triobet made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Vytautas Kruzikas (203-89) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. Forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Antanas Montrimavicius (199-87) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Nafta Univers. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Triobet moved-up to sixth place, which they share with JAZZ-KTU. Nafta Univers. at the other side keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Palanga. Triobet will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nafta Univers. will play again on the road against Triobet (#7) in Jonava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
