Regular Season Round 32: Dallas M. - Minnesota T. 106-112

Kevin Martin scored 27 to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 112-106 over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night at American Airlines Center. It was the Mavs' second loss in as many nights and dropped their record to 10-8. The Mavs blew a 17-point lead Friday and lost to the Hawks in Atlanta, 88-87. Monta Ellis led the Mavs with 26 points and six assists, Dirk Nowitzki finished with 23 points and six assists, Samuel Dalembert had 12 points and seven rebounds, DeJuan Blair collected 11 points and eight boards, and Vince Carter scored 10 points. Besides Martin, Minnesota got 21 points and nine rebounds from Nikola Pekovic, 21 points and 11 boards from Kevin Love, 13 points from Corey Brewer, and 12 points and seven assists from Ricky Rubio. Minnesota (9-9) led 29-24 after the first period, 54-47 at the half and 84-77 after three quarters. The Mavs shot 48.9 percent from the field, while Minnesota made 50.6 percent of its shots. The Mavs played without point guard Jose Calderon, who is listed as day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right ankle which he injured in Friday's game against Atlanta. Gal Mekel started in Calderon's place and finished with six points, seven assists and only one turnover while converting 3-of-12 shots.
