Regular Season Round 11: Tln Kalev - TTU 65-55

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Tln Kalev (#5) and TTU (#3). Tln Kalev (6-6) won against visiting TTU (8-3) 65-55. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of TTU. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 19-5 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tln Kalev dominated on the defensive end, holding TTU to just 5 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) who scored 8 points and 20 rebounds. The former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Tln Kalev's coach Kalle Klandorf used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four TTU players scored in double figures. Tln Kalev maintains fifth place with 6-6 record. TTU at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost.
