Regular Season Round 11: Brampton A's - Ottawa S. 108-129

Date: December 5, 2013
The Brampton A’s lost their second consecutive game in the National Basketball League of Canada on Thursday night. And it was the second consecutive loss to the Ottawa SkyHawks who had ended Brampton’s five-game winning streak on Monday night at the Powerade Centre. This time the SkyHawks won in our nation’s capital outscoring the visiting A’s 129-108. Brampton trailed by just six points at the half but were outscored 33-17 in the third quarter. Even 36 points in the fourth quarter wasn’t enough for Brampton as the SkyHawks scored 35. The SkyHawks once again had a good shooting performance against the A’s, making 51.6 per cent of their shots from the field, while the A’s made 41.9 per cent of theirs. Cedric Moodie, who connected on five of his eight three-point attempts, finished with 18 points for the A’s. Melvin Council and Jameson Tipping added 15 points apiece, Cavell Johnson had 14, Jordan Hamilton 11 and Kevin Francis 10. Flenard Whitfield, who scored seven points, had a game-high 11 rebounds. Seven Ottawa players scored in double figures, led by Justin Tubbs with 25 points. The A’s remain in second place in the nine-team league with a 9-4 record. Tonight they host the Moncton Miracles, who are eighth with a 2-10 record, at 7 p.m. and then on Sunday are on the road against the first-place London Lightning at 2 p.m. Courtesy of: bramptonguardian.com
