Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked ratiopharm Ulm (8-4) defeated on the road 15th ranked SC Rasta Vechta (3-9) 92-84. SC Rasta Vechta was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 29-16 charge of ratiopharm Ulm, which allowed them to win the game. ratiopharm Ulm had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: KMG Sports Management) who scored 22 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International point guard Per Guenther (185-88) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists.
