Regular Season Round 10: VolinBasket - Pulsar 97-70

Rather expected game in Lutsk where 14th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (1-7) was crushed by twelfth ranked VolinBasket (2-2) 97-70. The game was mostly controlled by VolinBasket. BC-93 Pulsar was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VolinBasket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BC-93 Pulsar's 28. VolinBasket forced 20 BC-93 Pulsar turnovers and outrebounded them 47-22 including a 22-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Illya Zhukovskyy (198-93) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Maxim Tyutyunnik contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four VolinBasket players scored in double figures. point guard Denis Sotnik (178-93) replied with 18 points and 4 assists and forward Andrei Artimovic (202-85) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BC-93 Pulsar. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VolinBasket moved-up to ninth place. BC-93 Pulsar lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with seven games lost. VolinBasket's next round opponent will be league's leader SoyuzBasket in Shahtarsk and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
