No shocking result in a game when third ranked USC Leipzig (8-4) crushed 12th ranked Leitershofen (2-10) in Diedorf 102-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. USC Leipzig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.7 percent from the field. USC Leipzig outrebounded Leitershofen 34-23 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for USC Leipzig especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American-Honduran guard Christopher Flores (188-90, college: NJIT) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Alex Bazzell (188-90, college: Lindenwood) replied with 19 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTPA) added 18 points in the effort for Leitershofen. Five USC Leipzig and four Leitershofen players scored in double figures. USC Leipzig maintains third position in Group South with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Dresden. Leitershofen lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with ten games lost. USC Leipzig will face league's leader Dresden on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leitershofen will play against TV 1862 Langen (#8) and hope to win that game.
