Regular Season Round 11: Ebara Vickies - Chanson V-M 51-85

Bottom-ranked Ebara Vickies (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-51 loss to third ranked Chanson V-M (9-2) in Tokyo. The game without a history. Chanson V-M led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ebara Vickies to just 6 points in third quarter. Chanson V-M made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Ebara Vickies only scored four points from the stripe. Center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Minaho Miyoshi (167-93) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Arisa Takagi (168-89) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Yuki Morimoto added 8 points and 6 assists in the effort for Ebara Vickies. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chanson V-M have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-2 record behind leader Denso Iris, which they share with Toyota A. Newly promoted Ebara Vickies still closes the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with Yamanashi QB. Chanson V-M will play against Niigata (#8) in Tokyo in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ebara Vickies will play on the road against Yamanashi QB and hope to get finally their first victory.
