Regular Season Round 10: Beroe - Levski Sofia 93-94

Eighth-ranked Beroe (1-8) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Levski Sofia (7-2) in Stara Zagora on Sunday. The visitors from Sofia managed to secure only one-point victory 94-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 20-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. International Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) fired 32 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. International Hristo Zahariev (199-90) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Levski Sofia's coach Konstantin Papazov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Italian-American point guard Mike DiNunno (180-90, college: E.Kentucky) produced 41 points (!!!) and American forward Dominique Ferguson (205, college: FIU) added 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for lost side. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. Levski Sofia moved-up to second place. Beroe at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Levski Sofia are looking forward to face Balkan (#3) in Botevgrad in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Beroe will play on the road against Rilski (#5) in Samokov and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
