Very expected game when 9th ranked Clinicas Rincon (5-8) lost to second ranked Leche Rio Breogan (10-3) in Malaga 61-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Clinicas Rincon managed to win fourth quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leche Rio Breogan forced 22 Clinicas Rincon turnovers. American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) nailed 21 points for the winning side and Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) accounted for 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Jose Pozas (183-92) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Clinicas Rincon in the defeat. Four Clinicas Rincon players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Palencia and Andorra. Newly promoted Clinicas Rincon dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Forca Lleida and Cocinas.com.
