Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Jaysh (#4) and Al Ahli (#8). Al Jaysh (9-4) smashed visiting Al Ahli (2-10) by 20 points 91-71. They outrebounded Al Ahli 48-36 including 19 on the offensive glass. Al Jaysh players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Shawn Taggart (207-85, college: Memphis) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Al Jaysh's coach Dragoslav Milovanovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by the former international center Hashim Zaidan (211-80) did not help to save the game for Al Ahli. Vitti Moto Barsiyak added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Jaysh moved-up to third place. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Al Shamal. Al Jaysh's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena .
