D1 top team - Elitzur Ramla (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Elitzur Netanya (3-8) 74-51. The game without a history. Elitzur Ramla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (192-85, college: Hofstra) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by American point guard Amanda Houts (168-87, college: Georgia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Elitzur Netanya. Her fellow American import forward Christine Flores (190-90, college: Missouri) added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. Elitzur Netanya lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Elitzur Ramla will play against league's second-placed Maccabi Ashdod on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Elitzur Netanya will play against Ramat Hasharon (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
