Regular Season Round 27: Shimane SM - Iwate Big Bulls 68-88

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (15-7) outleveled on the road 10th ranked Shimane Magic (5-19) 88-68 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Shimane Magic was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iwate Big Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) helped adding 22 points. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Jeral Davis (216-84) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shinshu BW. Shimane Magic lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 19 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play on the road against Fukuoka Rizing (#7) and hope to win that game.
