Regular Season Round 21: Mississauga P. - Windsor Exp. 91-101

The Mississauga Power started 2014 on the wrong foot tonight, falling 101-91 to the Windsor Express in National Basketball League of Canada play. The loss marks a seven-game losing skid for the visiting Power, but they didn't go down without a fight. Mississauga managed to leave the first half leading 47-46, and kept up with Windsor throughout the third, entering the fourth quarter only down four points. Windsor managed to push ahead late in the game, going on a 9-1 run that the Power just couldn't overcome. With the defeat, Mississauga's record drops to 7-16 as they sit in seventh place. Mississauga forward Kirk Williams led his team with 21 points and nine rebounds while Dwight McCombs followed with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Windsor's Quinnel Brown was the game's top-scorer, collecting 24 points with 14 rebounds. Mississauga will get another chance to redeem themselves on Sunday when they head back to Windsor for a rematch.
