Regular Season Round 13: Energa Czarni - Kotwica 84-68

Not a big story in a game in Slupsk where 11th ranked Kotwica (3-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Energa Czarni (8-5) 84-68 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Energa Czarni especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kotwica's players. Michal Nowakowski (202-88) fired 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Garrett Stutz (212-90, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 16 points. Energa Czarni's coach Andrej Urlep used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jessie Sapp (186-86, college: Georgetown) produced 18 points and the other American import point guard Jordan Callahan (184-90, college: Tulane) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Energa Czarni maintains fifth place with 8-5 record. Kotwica at the other side dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Energa Czarni will face league's leader Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kotwica will play at home against Rosa Radom (#6) and hope to win that game.
