Regular Season Round 14: Giorgo Tesi PT - Granarolo BO 80-79

A very interesting game took place in Pistoia. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Granarolo BO (7-7) to thirteenth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (6-8) 80-79 on Sunday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Granarolo BO won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and American-Congolese point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Cimberio VA and JuveCaserta. Granarolo BO at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Tuscany Pistoia's next round opponent will be Juvecaserta (#12) in Caserta.
