We should mention about the upset which took place in Eleusina, where higher ranked KAOD (6-6) lost to eleventh ranked Panelefsiniakos (5-7) in a road game 67-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KAOD. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KAOD won fourth quarter 25-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU) who scored that evening 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Four Panelefsiniakos players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by American point guard J'Covan Brown (185-90, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for KAOD. Serbian power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. KAOD's coach Nenad Markovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Panelefsiniakos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. KAOD at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Panelefsiniakos' next round opponent will be Nea Kifisia (#8) in Athens. KAOD will play at home against Aiolos Trikallon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
