Regular Season Round 13: Rosa Radom - Polpharma 63-64

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Polpharma (3-10) edged on the road higher ranked Rosa Radom (6-7) 64-63 on Saturday. Rosa Radom was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 11-point lead after three quarters before a 23-11 charge of Polpharma, which allowed them to win the game. American swingman Michael Hicks (195-83, college: Central Mo., agency: Court Side) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) chipped in 11 points. Polpharma's coach Tomasz Jankowski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Robert Witka (205-81) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Polpharma moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Stabill Jezioro and Kotwica. Rosa Radom at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Polpharma will face higher ranked Slask Wroclaw (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
