Regular Season Round 5: TU/Rock - Barons kv. 102-66

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tartu where 3rd placed Latvian Barons kv. (5-4) was rolled over by fourth ranked Estonian TU/Rock (5-4) 102-66 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Barons kv. was better in fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Timo Eichfuss (200-88) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Marek Doronin (200-83) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four TU/Rock players scored in double figures. Center Jekabs Rozitis (205-86) produced 6 points and 9 rebounds and forward Harijs Rubenis (201-91) added 14 points respectively for the guests. TU/Rock moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with defeated Barons kv. TU/Rock will face bottom-ranked Valga (#7) on the road in the next round. Barons kv. will play against the league's second-placed Tonybet (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
