Rather expected game when 6th ranked Polonia W-wa (6-6) was smashed by fourth ranked Notec (8-5) in Inowroclaw 95-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Notec led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Polonia W-wa turnovers. Notec shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Daniel Korolczyk (190-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Forward Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) contributed with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Daniel Nieporecki (192-94) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Pawel Sieradzki (200-93) added 12 points in the effort for Polonia W-wa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Notec maintains fourth position in Group A with 8-5 record, which they share with Trefl II Sopot. Newly promoted Polonia W-wa keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Notec will face GTK Gdynia (#7) on the road in the next round. Polonia W-wa will play against Korsarz Gdansk and hope to win that game.
