Regular Season Round 6: TU/Rock - Kaspiy Aktau 88-62

Rather predictable result when third ranked Estonian TU/Rock (7-4) rolled over 5th ranked Kazakhstan Kaspiy Aktau (3-9) in Tartu 88-62 on Saturday. TU/Rock dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Kaspiy Aktau's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Vincent Simpson (185-88, college: Hampton, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory with 25 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Janar Talts (205-83) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. TU/Rock's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Bahamas forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL) replied with 8 points and 16 rebounds and American guard Kris Richard (195-89, college: Tulane) added 13 points in the effort for Kaspiy Aktau. TU/Rock have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group C with 7-4 record having just one point less than leader Pyrinto. Loser Kaspiy Aktau dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. TU/Rock will face Juventus (#5) in Utena in the next round.
