Semi-Finals Game 4: CD Puerto Varas - Tinguiririca S.F. 87-114

Tinguirica recovered well enough after the loss a day before and defeated CD Puerto Varas in the fourth game of the semifinal series. The victory meant Tinguiririca advanced into the championship series. The game without a history. Tinguiririca S.F. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to CD Puerto Varas' 48 and made 29-of-38 charity shots (76.3 percent) during the game. Tinguiririca S.F. forced 22 CD Puerto Varas turnovers. CD Puerto Varas were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan Tulio Cobos (197-86, college: Northeastern St.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Patrick Saez (193-79) who added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Tinguiririca S.F. players scored in double figures. Tinguiririca S.F.'s coach Pablo Ares felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Grady Reynolds (198-80, college: St.John's) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds.
