Regular Season Round 15: Sutor MGR - Vanoli CR 90-95

Date: January 12, 2014
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifteenth ranked Vanoli Cremona (4-11) defeated on the road 14th ranked Sutor Montegranaro (4-11) 95-90 on Sunday. Sutor Montegranaro trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 31-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-95 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American-Georgian point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) who scored 24 points and 4 assists. Naturalized American guard Jarrius Jackson (183-85, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 26 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) who recorded 20 points and Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Sutor Montegranaro players scored in double figures. Sutor Montegranaro's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Sutor MGR. Sutor Montegranaro lost fourth consecutive game. Vanoli Cremona will meet at home higher ranked Montepaschi Siena (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sutor Montegranaro will play against Lottomatica Roma (#5) and hope to secure a win.
